Starting over

I really need to start blogging again...I love to follow peoples blogs and see the wonderful artwork and catch a glimpse into peoples lives. I recently told my inner self that I need to start blogging again....so I logged on and noticed that my last post was May 24th. I feel horrible that it's been that long since I've posted. I'm making a commitment to myself to post at least once a week on my blog.

Since my last post, my oldest son Alex has started Karate in June and started preschool this fall. He still loves going to Karate and just received his "Little Ninjas" gold belt at the beginning of October. I am glad that Alex still asks with enthusiasm if it karate night. Unlike soccer last fall when I had to carry him kickin' and screamin'...okay it wasn't that bad, but he showed no desire for soccer. He is making many friends in preschool and loves to go, I just hope he will continue to enjoy school later on in life.

My youngest son Jake will be celebrating his Golden Birthday on December 2ND so I've been busy planning his "Monster Jam" party. It seems with having a big brother, Jake missed playing with age appropriate toys...he loves to play with everything that his big brother plays with and the "now" toys happen to be matchbox/hot wheel cars and monster trucks.

Shortly after Jake's birthday we are heading to Disney World with my parents and sister and the boys are so excited to go see Mickey and friends. I love to watch the excitement in the boys when we talk about our upcoming trip....I am already planning my Disney pages....I would like to try some pages in the new Studio J program that will be offered next spring to CTMH customers.

Well that's about it for now and I promise to post my recent artwork/projects shortly..

Back Country Layout

This is another layout that I created this past weekend at my weekend scrapbooking getaway. I used the level 2 Back Country paper pack and stickease. This is a layout of my oldest son Alex at the Great Wolf Lodge water park in Wisconsin Dells.

Moon Doggie Layout

This is a layout done using the new Moon Doggie paper pack. Stamps used were the headline Alphabet and Extreme Happiness. The pictures are from our trip to Wisconsin Dells - Great Wolf Lodge this past Mothers Day weekend.

Animal Cookies Layout

This was a layout I did this past weekend of my son Jake's 1st birthday. I used the new Animal Cookies paper pack and Headline Alphabet stamp set.

Stardust Layout

This is a layout of my boys using the stardust paper pack from CTMH and the wishing star stamp set. This was a photo shoot from when we had family visiting from CO and we took family pictures. We decided to add a side shoot of just the boys for Jake's one year photos. We are so glad we did, as both boys were soaking up the spotlight.

This is one of the fathers day cards I made using the April SOM and Back County paper pack.

I was away at a scrapbooking weekend and had tons of fun..I made this Luau invitation for my niece Kailee for her 7th birthday party...I just loved how this turned out. This was done using the Moon doggie paper pack and Extreme Happiness stamps from Close to My Heart. The Moon Doggie paper pack is one of my favorite paper packs from the new summer catalog.
